Bud and Bob Cox always said they didn’t look at new locations as business ventures but as “adventures.” Adorned with ball caps and beer, the new Cox Brothers BBQ in Manhattan, KS has exceeded everyone’s expectations, from the pork to the hickory wood used inside the one of two smokers on site. Cox Brothers BBQ embraces and pays homage to the different styles of BBQ Bud and Bob have come to love during their travels to Memphis, the Carolinas, Texas, and Kansas City. Cox Brothers is a 3,800 square fast casual restaurant with drive through that serves some of the best BBQ in the country and fast (average 4 minutes for your food!).
Leap Hospitality was challenged with taking the stories, recipes, and old process of Bud and Bobs previous smokehouse and turn it into a new place people would enjoy and adapt the delivery method. Leap lead the efforts to adapt the interior design, POS system, Kitchen Design, Ops Management, Process/Procedures, Brand Management, Website Development, and overall concept look and feel of the new Cox Brothers BBQ. We even developed the tag line “What Q are you” to embrace people’s emotions of BBQ allegiance. How is the concept doing?
