Blue Moon Dueling Piano Bar
Blue Moon is a fun filled party in the suburbs of West Des Moines, IA. The initial vision of the investors was to bring a little of Las Vegas to Iowa. Situated in a 7,000 square feet stand alone building with a mezzanine, Blue Moon has become one of the hottest nightlife spots in all of Des Moines and spurred additional entertainment growth in the area. Blue Moon offers live entertainment and dueling pianos nightly. Designed to look like the streetscapes of New York or Chicago, Blue Moon makes you feel like you are in a different place each night you attend.
Leap Hospitality was approached by the investor group to make their Las Vegas dream a reality. Leap lead the efforts in site selection, lease negotiations, brand development, interior design, operations management, menu planning, kitchen design, entertainment plan, staffing, and initial ops management. Leap worked with the group for over 18 months from an idea on a plain piece of paper all the way through opening. What did we get? Exactly what the partners were looking for, a polished upscale entertainment venue that looked liked it didn’t belong in the middle of Iowa. We single handedly raised the entertainment bar in Des Moines. I guess you could call it their “Field of Dreams.”
